Installation guide for the SMSFactor plugin on HubSpot

Welcome to the SMSFactor installation guide for HubSpot! Send all your sales and marketing SMS messages from your CRM.

Note: To install and use our application on HubSpot, you need to create a HubSpot account and have access to the tools that you will use to send your SMS messages, including your SMSFactor account.

Step 1: Connect Your SMSFactor Account

Click on the installation button for our app on the marketplace and sign in to your SMSFactor account.

Step 2: Synchronise your SMSFactor and HubSpot accounts

Once logged in to your SMSFactor account, you will need to connect it to your HubSpot account.

Step 3: Allow information sharing

Accept the necessary authorisations for the SMSFactor app in HubSpot.

SMSFactor will ask for the following permissions:

Account information: To identify your HubSpot account and link it to your SMSFactor account.

Contact records information : To send SMS messages, we need to access your contacts' telephone numbers. This information will be stored with SMSFactor, but you can choose how long we keep your data for.

Creating events on your timeline : To confirm delivery, the time, and the content of your messages, we need to be able to access your timeline.

Step 4: Test and buy SMS messages!

You can now use the SMSFactor app and send SMS messages to your contacts via HubSpot!

When you sign up, you'll get 10 test SMS messages. Once you have used these SMS messages, you will need to choose either prepaid SMS packs or monthly payments. Discover our pricing to find out more.

Use the SMSFactor plugin

Now that you have installed the SMSFactor app on your HubSpot account, consult our user guide for:

Sending SMS messages from your Contact records.

Sending single or multiple SMS messages from Workflows.

Uninstalling the SMSFactor x HubSpot App

Access the Connected Apps menu

If you wish to uninstall SMSFactor from your HubSpot account, click "Profile & Preferences" in your account using the gear icon.

You'll find the list of connected apps in the menu: Settings > Integrations > Connected Apps.

Uninstall the app

You then just need to click "Actions", and "Uninstall".

Once the uninstall is done, you’ll see that all SMSFactor features are gone from your HubSpot account.
For example, if you go back to a contact record, the SMSFactor SMS sending feature is no longer available in the list of actions on the right.
Please note that if workflows are configured with SMSFactor steps, they will no longer work after the uninstall.

Information on the storage of your data

What happens on HubSpot

As far as your sending data is concerned, please note that once our plugin has been uninstalled, you will still have access to events and properties created on your HubSpot objects linked to previous SMS sending made with our plugin. In addition, no data linked to your HubSpot account will be stored by us.

What happens on SMSFactor

The history of your SMS messages sent via our HubSpot plugin will be available on our platform. Please also note that to comply with RGPD regulations, we delete all data relating to SMS sends after 8 months. If you would like more information, please see our Privacy Policy.
